Everything we do is by design, motivated by our philosophy, thoughts and action; weather self-created, co-created, or created through inherited knowledge.

If it doesn't work or hurts us we can redesign it.

Philosophical Design-for-Purpose

HumanNation works with business through the entire design life-cycle, from Design Philosophy (the conception of design), to the design process, the demonstration and pilot of the design concept or prototype, and finally the implementation (adoption by users, community and market development).

Ancient wisdom teaches; weather reading from the Upanishads, Lao-Tzu, or the Avesta:

“Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.”

― Lao Tzu

Design is a process of converting thoughts into action and our actions define our outcomes, or destiny.

Purpose or 'guiding-principles' are fundamental in shaping our thoughts and therefore actions.

All our outcomes originate in a thought, whether self-generated or acquired, through individual or collective knowledge or intelligence, so-called 'culture'.

It is therefore paramount that we are clear about which principles we want to guide our thoughts, as it will define our destiny.

Transposing this to our business has the same effect. It is human design activity through thought which determines business outcomes.

In order to tackle the societal challenges of our times, we must recover the right principles that bring about the 'good' outcomes we seek for a better world, i.e. tackling ecological, social and economic challenges. Business can be a force for good if business activity is defined based on the right core principles.

HumanNation supports businesses in defining the right vision and strategy based on such principles - realigning the business purpose with the common good.
